PRINCE2 is an integrated model

PRINCE2 is a model consisting of four integrated elements. Our PRINCE2 training provides comprehensive coverage of the four elements which are known as: Principles, Processes, Themes and Project Environment.

PRINCE2 highlights 7 principles that are the foundation of the PRINCE2 project management methodology. The 7 principles are:

Manage by stages
Focus on products
Tailor to suit the project

PRINCE2 processes highlight a step by step guide to applying the PRINCE2 principles and themes. 7 processes are applied at different intervals during the preparation, execution and closure phases of a project. They are:

Starting up a project
Initiating a project
Directing a project
Controlling a stage
Managing product delivery
Managing a stage boundary
Closing a project

The themes describe project management functions that must be continually applied throughout the project. The 7 themes are:

Business Case
Organization
Quality
Risk
Change
Progress
Plans

The fourth element is known as the Project Environment. PRINCE2 encourages organizations to consider how to best adopt the PRINCE2 methodology according to the needs of their business environment.
