What is agile training?
Agile training builds knowledge and skills needed to apply agile principles, practices and frameworks to enable faster and more effective delivery of outcomes in operational or project environments.
What is Agile project management training?
Agile project management can be described as a project management working method that combines project and agile philosophies, principles and practices.
More specifically, agile project management blends an effective level of project management governance and controls with agile working practices for delivering value to customers faster, in a project environment.
There are two proven agile project management frameworks that support the application of project and agile philosophies, principles and practices. They are AgilePM and PRINCE2 Agile.
Learn these agile frameworks and get certified by completing an online AgilePM Foundation or AgilePM Foundation + Practitioner course or if seeking to integrate agile ways of working with PRINCE2, learn online or in-person by enrolling in a PRINCE2 Agile Foundation or PRINCE2 Agile Foundation + Practitioner course.
How much does an agile course and certification cost?
Agile course fees vary between $AUD500 +GST to $AUD3,485 +GST per person, dependent on the course type, if a certification is required and certification level. Certification fees vary between different agile certification bodies.
In-person training:
- One or two day non-certification agile training course fees: Contact us for in-house course quotation
- PRINCE2 Agile training and certification: visit our training schedule or contact us for an in-house course quotation.
Self-paced eLearning and certification:
- PRINCE2 Agile training fees for self-paced eLeanring and certification
- AgilePM training fees fpr self-paced eLeanring and certification.
How long does it take to get agile certified?
Time to get certified is dependent on the agile course selected, agile certification level required, training delivery format (classroom training or self-paced eLearning), exam study time required by each individual and time to complete the certification exam. For many agile certifications, exams are completed online on a date chosen by the training participant within a timeframe specified by the agile training and certification package.
PRINCE2 Agile in-person training
- PRINCE2 Agile Foundation training – 3 days training, plus exam study and completion
- PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner training – 2 days training, plus exam study and completion
PRINCE2 Agile self-paced eLearning
- PRINCE2 Agile Foundation – Approximately 9 hours online learning, plus exam study and completion
- PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner – Approximately 9 hours online learning, plus exam study and completion
Additional exam study time
- Additional study time varies for each training participant. As a guide, allow at least one study day for in-person training and three study days for self-paced eLearning, plus time to complete the exam.
Which agile course is best for beginners?
Agile Foundation level courses are specifically designed to develop a working-level knowledge of principles and practices for working in operational or project environments that seek to benefit from agile working methods.
What is the difference between Agile and SCRUM?
The term Agile is used to describe a working approach for delivering value more effective and faster. There are many frameworks designed to assist in applying agile principles and practices. SCRUM is one such framework. Others include: HiLogic’s Agile Foundations Framework, PRINCE2 Agile, AgilePM, DevOps, plus many more.
Most Agile frameworks are designed to benefit a specific use case. SCRUM for example, was initially designed to support agile working methods within operational environments. Today SCRUM is also commonly used in project environments. To assist its use in project environments and align with project governance and control expectations, agile project management methods such as PRINCE2 Agile and AgilePM were devised and integrate SCRUM as the basis of their project delivery model.
